Fun fact: Monday is my favorite day of the week:)
Mostly because I thrive on routine, and I get the house to myself for a few hours.
Let’s start this week with a few things that are making my must-have/must-do list that might be things that will help you too.
I promised my dermatologist that this is the year I will literally save my face. I will wear sunscreen, I will cover my skin with hats and long sleeves so as not to die from skin cancer. How ironic would it be to fight like hell against lung cancer and then die of skin cancer??? Here is the problem with this plan: I hate sunscreen and I love sunshine. I have found two good face sunscreens that I don’t mind terribly. You should wear them too. Suntegrity makes a tinted sunscreen, and Supergoop makes a clear, very lightweight sunscreen. My dermatologist gave me a thumbs up on both.
Coconut oil: I’ve been using this to remove makeup, moisturize my hands, and as an oil for a facial lymphatic massage that has become part of my morning routine. Very lightweight, smells good, dissipates quickly. And oh hey, you can cook with it too!
Walking - It’s good for you! I do a 5 mile walk once a week with a dear friend but am aiming for 10,000 steps each day. It’s a bit of a challenge, my day usually ends with an after dinner walk to finish off the step count but that’s good for digestion so win/win.
