Pull on your socks and sweater, sit with me for Patio Coffee.
I have a blanket for you.
We’ll sit outside taking big deep breaths of fresh air while we pretend not to see the leaves falling from the trees.
Shall we recap our summer stories of family and lake vacations and dinners outside and cramming in all the work so we can still have all the fun?
Because bills still need to be paid even while our feet dangle in the lake.
You’ll say “I’m going to miss wearing flip flops and summer dresses.”
I’ll say “I’m going to miss having no schedule”.
We’ll both say “summer is our favorite season”.
Do we dare ask what’s next for the season of socks and fireplaces and football?
Too soon?
Tell me your favorite soup recipe. Where do I buy that candle that you love so much? I’m saving my kitchen organizing for the hibernation season.
Don’t forget to tell me your DREAMS because we still need hope when it’s dark at 4:30 p.m.
Especially when it’s dark at 4:30 p.m.
Let’s take a big deep breath of fresh air and sip our coffee and rest…just one more time.
xo
Love the musing — working on a fun fall fashion flashback piece that might bring you out of the end of summer slump. xx
Here's a favorite soup -- I have my variations on it. The harissa really makes it!
